Your challenges

You need efficient, future-proof water treatment that meets strict discharge limits and reduces water footprint.
Meeting stringent regulations
Tighter limits on wastewater discharge and on drinking water regulations require advanced treatment to remove organics, nutrients, salts, and micropollutants. Traditional systems may fall short — especially in water-stressed regions or sensitive ecosystems.
Reducing operational costs and water usage
Industrial processes consume large volumes of water. Reusing treated effluent reduces freshwater intake and disposal costs, but requires high-performing, low-fouling membrane systems to ensure long-term stability.
Handling varying water qualities and flows
Fluctuating influent quality, temperature, and volumes can challenge membrane performance. A robust, flexible design is key to maintain consistent output quality and avoid costly downtime.
How our membrane filtration solutions work
Membrane filtration is a physical separation process that uses semi-permeable membranes to remove particles, microorganisms, and dissolved substances from water. Water is pushed through these membranes under pressure, allowing clean water to pass while retaining contaminants. Each membrane type — ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, or reverse osmosis — targets specific impurities based on size and chemical composition.
The process is compact, energy-efficient, and highly effective, making it ideal for both industrial and municipal water reuse. Our systems are designed for stability and resilience, ensuring reliable performance even under variable conditions.
Our solutions
Our modular membrane solutions support the 4R strategy — Reduce, Remove, Reuse, Recover. From ultrafiltration to reverse osmosis and ceramic membranes, we combine innovation and expertise to deliver reliable, sustainable performance.

Wide range of membrane solutions for municipal and industrial reuse applications (NMS)
We offer a complete line of ultrafiltration (NMF-UF), nanofiltration (NMS-NF), and reverse osmosis (NMS-RO) systems for municipal and industrial reuse applications. They are engineering and developed inhouse, plug-and-play, compact, and easy to integrate.
Ceramic membrane filtration (Ceramac®)
Ceramic membranes offer exceptional durability and chemical resistance, ideal for challenging applications like surface water treatment, industrial reuse, and pretreatment for RO. Ceramac® from technology company PWNT provides high recovery rates and a long lifespan, minimizing total cost of ownership.
Titanium membrane filtration (DEEPEST®)
DEEPEST-F® is a titanium-stainless steel membrane solution that separates the entire fraction of suspended solids from water, enabling targeted and efficient purification for a wide range of wastewaters, from digestate to pharmaceuticals and food and beverage effluents. It combines advanced process control with a robust and durable filtration technology, giving you reliable performances even under variable loads.
Special industry applications and experience
For specific industries such as beverage and pharmaceutical, we have gained years of experience to treat ingredient and ultra-pure water with our technology company Aqua-Chem: a specially developed reverse osmosis system. Or for the pulp and paper industry, our Technology Company Flootech has gained experience of treating this type of water to right quality and standards.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is membrane filtration?
Membrane filtration uses physical barriers to remove impurities from water. It includes ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF), and reverse osmosis (RO), each designed for different contaminant sizes and applications.
What industries benefit from NSI membrane solutions?
We serve industries ranging from food & beverage to energy, chemicals, and municipal reuse. Wherever water needs to be recycled or purified, membrane technology adds value.
How do ceramic membranes differ from polymeric membranes?
Ceramic membranes are more robust and resistant to chemicals and high temperatures. They last longer and require less cleaning, making them ideal for harsh water conditions or aggressive cleaning protocols.
Can your membranes handle variable flows and feedwater quality?
Yes. Our systems are designed for flexibility and resilience. Automated controls and modular designs ensure stable output, even when influent water conditions fluctuate.
Do membrane systems require a lot of maintenance?
Our systems are optimized for low maintenance. With smart cleaning-in-place options and remote monitoring, you can minimize downtime and extend membrane life.
