Project’s context & challenges

Aqua-Chem, a global leader in water purification solutions, partnered with a major beverage manufacturer in California, USA, to address rising energy costs and environmental concerns. The challenge was to modernize the existing water treatment system to reduce operational costs and carbon footprint while maintaining high water quality standards.

Excellent record of successfully implemented NSI fish wastewater treatment plants.

Reliability of solution proposed.

Solution

We implemented a multi-stage water treatment system to reduce pollution and enhance sustainability. Wastewater first passes through a filter, removing solids before entering a balance tank for flow stabilization. Flocculation and flotation separate fine particles. A biological treatment solution with an activated sludge DAF acts as an optional step when additional pollution must be removed to meet the discharge limits.

Finally, sludge from the pre treatment DAF is dewatered using a screw press, minimizing sludge disposal. This system significantly reduces discharge cost and improves water quality.

Scope of supply

  • Contract type: Design, supply.
  • Solutions: Filter, flocculation, flotation, biological treatment (optional, only in operation when needed), sludge management with screw press
  • Added value services: Project execution, commissioning and monitoring
  • Intelligent services: NSI Digital Platform for monitoring and control
